How to use JSON Compare
- Paste the original JSON and the updated JSON in the two input panels, or choose a JSON file for the original.
- Select Compare JSON documents. Both inputs are parsed, so whitespace and object-key order do not count as changes.
- Review each added, removed, or changed value at its JSON Pointer path, then download json-differences.json. Array entries are compared by index.

Frequently asked questions
Does property order affect the comparison?
No. The documents are parsed as JSON objects, so key order and formatting whitespace are ignored.
How are arrays compared?
Array entries are compared by their index. Reordering items can therefore appear as value changes rather than matched records.
Privacy
Your input is processed in your browser. This version does not send document content to a conversion server and includes no advertising or analytics scripts. Loading the website requires a network connection.
